The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), Mumbai, is recruiting 19789 Candidates for the posts of – Driver (Jr.), Conductor (Jr.), Assistant (Jr.) and Clerk-Typist (Jr.). Class 10 pass candidates who meets the below mentioned criteria may apply for the posts. RECRUITMENT OF 19789 DRIVER (JR.), CONDUCTOR (JR.), ASSISTANT (JR.) AND CLERK-TYPIST (JR.) IN MAHARASHTRA STATE ROAD TRANSPORT CORPORATION (MSRTC).

1. Driver (Junior): 8948 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent. Candidates should possess valid heavy/ passenger vehicle driving licence.
Candidates must have ability to read, write and speak Marathi language
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in driving preferably diesel vehicle (such as Truck and Passenger Bus).
Physical standards: Height—160cms to 180cms, Eye sight: 6/6 without wearing glasses.
Age: between 24yrs to 35yrs as on 07/08/2012
Pay scale: Rs. 2790 — Rs.3870

2. Conductor (Junior): 6247 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent. Candidates should posses RTO issued Conductor licence/ certificate
Candidates must have ability to read, write and speak Marathi language
Physical Standards: Height— 158cms (148 cms in case of Women candidates)
Age: between 18yrs to 35yrs as on 07/08/2012
Pay scale: Rs.2440—Rs.3384

3. Assistant (Junior): 2658 Nos.
Qualification: Candidates should have done ITI and must posses ITI certificate in any one of the following trades — Motor Mechanic, Sheet Metal, Electrician/ Auto Electrician, Wireman, Blacksmith, Tinsmith/ Welder, Painter, Electronics, Diesel Mechanic, Machinist, Turner and Carpenter.
Age: between 18yrs to 33yrs as on 07/08/2012
Pay scale: Rs.2440—Rs.3384

4. Clerk-Typist (Junior): 1936 Nos.
Qualification: Primary/ Secondary education from recognised school/ institutions and must have typing speed of 30 words per minute in Marathi language and 40 words per minute in English. Candidates should posses ‘O’ level or ‘A’ ‘B’ or C level certificate or C.C.C. certificate of D.O.E.A.C.C or MSCIT examination of Maharastra Rajya Uccha Tantrashikshan Mandal, Mumbai. Refer the Advt. for norms.
Age: between 18yrs to 33yrs as on 07/08/2012
Pay scale: Rs.2880—Rs.3994

Upper age relaxation and seats reservation for reserved category is as per norms.
