Centre of Wind Energy Technology ( C—WET), Under Ministry of New
and Renewable Energy (MNRE), at Chennai is recruiting 19 persons for the post of
– “Project Assistant” for its S&C, Testing & WRA Units. The
appointment will be temporary basis for One year which may further extended on
basis of candidate’s performance and need. Eligible candidates may apply for the

1. Project Assistant — II: 3 Nos.
Qualification: B.E/ B.Tech (Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engg.)
Age: within 28yrs
2. Project Assistant —II: 4 Nos.
Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Instrumentation and control / Mechatronic Engg
Age: within 28yrs.
3. Project Assistant — III: 1 Nos.
Qualification: M.Tech Atmospheric Science
Age: within 32yrs
4. Project Assistant — II: 3 Nos.
Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science/Electronics and Communication/IT or M.Sc.in Information Technology/MCA
Age: within 28yrs.
5. Project Assistant —II: 1 Nos.
Qualification: M.Sc Geo Informatics (Arc GIS knowledge)
Age: within 28yrs.
6. Project Assistant — II: 1 Nos.
Qualification: M.Sc. (Meteorology)
Age: within 28yrs.
7. Project Assistant —I: 2 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc., (Physics / Maths)
Age: within 25yrs.
8. Project Assistant —I: 4 Nos.
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics / Civil Engineering
Age: within 25yrs.
N.B: Candidates must have score minimum 50% for Project Assistant Level – I and 55% for Project Assistant – II and above in the qualifying examination as mentioned above.
Age will be counted as on last date of application. Upper age relaxation for OBC—3yrs, SC/ST—5yrs and PWD—10yrs.
Consolidated pay per month: Rs.10400 to 18200, as applicable for the post.
Nature of the posts: Candidates will require to travel throughout the country as well as will require to climb wind turbines and metrological masts measuring about 80—100 mtrs height.
Candidates who are physically fit and earnest may apply for the post.
Selection steps: Candidates selection will be through Aptitude test and Interview. Date of Test and Interview will be published on the official website of Centre of Wind Energy Technology ( C—WET).
