IBPS Clerical Cadre Selection Procedure: IBPS conducts Common Written Examination (CWE) for selection of Clerical Cadre vacancies in the 20 Public Sector Banks. It is a great opportunity for candidate’s career in 20 Public Sector Banks through a Single Common Written Examination. The Common Written Examination (CWE) for Clerical Cadre posts will be conducted once in a year by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Common Written Examination for recruitment of Clerks has been accepted by each of the 20 participating Public Sector Banks and the Managing Committee of the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) with the consent of the Government of India.
1. Qualified candidates have to apply through online application mode from the IBPS website.
2. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts this Online Exam for Clerical Cadre posts. Total no of questions is 200, total marks 200 and total time duration of 2 hours for objective types questions. There will be Negative Marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the objective type exam.
3. The candidates who qualified in the online test, they are considered for the vacancies of the participating banks, the cut-off  will be decided based on the average 1/4 Standard Deviation for general candidates and 3/4 Standard Deviation for reserved category candidates.
4. Candidates who qualify in CWE Clerk-II, will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be co-ordinated by IBPS. Candidates, successful in qualifying in both the CWE and Common Interview will be listed in the order of merit. Depending on the vacancies in each bank of his preference, candidate will receive through a computerised system an offer from  any one of the Participating Public Sector Bank

Educational qualification:
1. Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
2. Computer literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory.
3. Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.
