Kolkata Port Trust requires 32 Stenographer, Law Clerk/ Asst./ Officer, Asst. Engineer, Etc. Last Dt. 31/10/2012

Kolkata Port Trust is recruiting 32 persons for the posts of — Stenographer, Law Clerk, Law Assistant, Assistant Scientific Officer, Asst. Engineers (Civil) and Law Officer for different Departments under Kolkata Dock System on contract basis. Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format which is given along with the Advertisement. Eligibility norms and brief information is given below—


1. Stenographer: 25 Nos.
Qualification: minimum Madhyamik pass or equivalent. Candidates must possess minimum speed of 120 words per minute in Shorthand and 40 words per minute in Typing. Should have computer knowledge.
Experience: Atleast 10yrs of working experience in relevant field.
Age: Candidates should be above 40yrs of age.
Remuneration: Rs.10400/-

2. Law Clerk: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Graduation from recognised University
Experience: minimum 2yrs of practicing experience as the Clerk of an Advocate and/ or solicitor firm with supporting documents.
Age: between 25yrs to 40yrs
Remuneration: Rs. 10400/-

3. Law Assistant: 2 Nos.
Qualification: LLB Degree
Experience: Atleast 2yrs of practicing experience in civil and Criminal courts.
Age: between 25yrs to 50yrs
Remuneration: 15600/-

4. Assistant Scientific Officer: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Statistics/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/Electronics/ Geology/ Hydrology/ Computer Science or Degree in Engineering/ Environmental Science or Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 10yrs of experience in relevant field.
Age: Atleast 40yrs of age.
Remuneration: 26000/-

5. Assistant Engineers (Civil): 2 Nos.
Qualification: Civil Engineering degree.
Experience: 10yrs of experience in relevant field.
Age: At least 40yrs
Remuneration: Rs.26000/-

6. Law Officer: 1 Nos.
Qualification: LLB Degree
Experience: 3yrs of experience in Civil and Criminal Courts
Age: between 25yrs to 50yrs
Remuneration: Rs.26000/-

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may prepare the Application form on plain A4 size paper clearly mentioning their full Bio-Data/ information as prescribed in the format. (Link given below)
Enclose the supporting documents such as – Qualification certificates, Age proof, Caste, Experience certificates and Etc in attested copies and 2nos. passport size photographs along with the application form.

Initial engagement to the post will be of one year which may be extended again upon satisfactory performance of the candidates.
Age will be counted as on last date of application. Reservation to the posts for reserved categories is as per norms.
