Notice for Recruitment
Kolkata: The West Bengal
government today decided to recruit 46,000 primary teachers to improve the
school education system, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said.
"We have decided to
appoint 46,000 teachers in primary schools. This has been done with the
approval of the finance department," Banerjee told after a cabinet
meeting.
She said that 10 per
cent of the recruitment will be made from the state Primary Teachers Training
Institutes and para-teachers.
Banerjee said the
problem of Sishu Siksha Kendras, Madhya Siksha Kendras and would be solved in
phases, within three years
* Eligibility Criteria :
1) Higher Secondary pass with 50°h marks (45% in case of ST/SC)
2) The candidate must be capable of Reading, Writing and Speaking in S3ntali Language & Otchiki script.
3) Age should not be more than 45 years and not less than 18 years as cn 01/01/2012.
4) Candidate should be residence of territorial jurisdiction of Gram Panchayat under which the Pry. School is located.
5) EPIC, Residential Certificate issued by the Block Development officer must be submitted as proof of resident in the concerned jurisdiction of . F
6) 50°h posts will be reserved for female candidates.
7) One candidate can apply for only one post.

* Selection Procedure: (Total Marks-100)
(1) Written Test on Santali Language and Ol-Chiki Script = 30 marks. (Qualifying Mark is minimum 5)
(2) On Academic Score : (Madhyamik & Higher Seconddry) = 55 marks.
(3) Viva Voce = 15 marks. * Norms of Engagement:

Teacher will be appointed an annual contract. The engagement would be initially for a year and extendable upto three years based on the satisfactory performance of the candidate.
