Municipal Service Commission, Kolkata, is recruiting 15 “Assistant Analyst”. Two panels-one main panel against declared vacancies and one supplementary panel against subsequent vacancies that may occur from time to time during the validity of such panel will be prepared in order of merit on the result of the Recruitment Examinations. These panels will remain valid for one year only from the date of its publication. Qualification norms and brief information is given below—

1. Assistant Analyst: 15 Nos.
Main Panel- 10 (Gen-03, Gen (PH)-01, SC-02,ST-01, OBC (A)-02 & OBC(B)-01) Supplementary Panel: -05 (Gen-02, SC-02 & OBC(B)-01).
Qualification Required: Honours degree in science with Chemistry or a degree in science with Biochemistry or Food Technology with 50% marks.
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 40yrs as on 01-01-2012. Upper age relaxation for OBC—3yrs; SC/ST—5yrs, PH—10yrs and Others—as per norms.
Pay scale: Rs.7100—37600 and Grade pay: Rs.4100/-
Application fee: Rs.150 and Rs.50 as processing charge is to be deposited through any branches of United Bank of India to A/C No. 0088050006323 vide challan specially designed and available at the official website of commission’s — www.mscwb.org
SC/ST/PH category should pay only Rs.50 as processing fee.
Selection of the candidates will be held in two successive stages viz., (i) Written Test for 100 marks (ii) Personality Test-10 marks.
Written Examination : The examination will consist of one paper with total marks of 100 comprising 100 questions (Multiple choice-Objective type questions) carrying 1 mark for each questions. There will be negative marking and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong/ incorrect answer. Out of 100 questions 60 questions will be from General knowledge, current affairs and Mathematics (Madhymik standard) and remaining 40 questions will be from Chemistry of Graduation level.
Qualified candidates from Written Test will be called for Personality Test.

During submission of application, self-attested photocopies of the documents/ certificates in support of age, caste, qualification, and experience (if any) etc., whichever applicable, shall be submitted as supporting documents.
