Government of NCT of Delhi, Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) is recruiting for 3758 candidates for the post of – Special Education Teacher, Librarian, Assistant Teacher (Nursery), TGTs (English/ Maths/ Natural Science, Social Science & MIL), Staff Nurse, Nurse and Junior Social Education Teacher. Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed OMR forms. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below in brief. Advertisement No. 1/13 —


DELHI SUBORDINATE SERVICES SELECTION BOARD (DSSSB) REQUIRES 3758 TEACHERS, LIBRARIAN, NURSE AND ETC. LAST DATE: 20/03/2013.

DEPARTMENT: DIRECTORATE OF EDUCATION —
1. Special Education Teacher: 927 Nos. (UR-468, OBC-251, SC-139, ST-69 including PH (OH-27)
Qualification: Graduate with B.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed. with a two years Diploma in Special Education or Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education OR any other equivalent qualification
AND Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) pass conducted by CBSE.
Age Limits: within 30yrs.

2. Librarian: 382 Nos. (UR-193,OBC-113, SC-41, ST-35 including OH -14, HH-13)
Qualification: (i) Degree or equivalent, (ii) Bachelor's degree or equivalent diploma in Library Science AND experience of two years in a Library/ Computerization of a library or one year certificate in Computer application.
Age Limits: within 30yrs.

3. Assistant Teacher (Nursery): 445 Nos. (UR-221, OBC-123, SC-66,ST-35 including PH (OH-07, VH-06)
Qualification: (i) Senior Secondary School (Class Twelve) Certificate OR intermediate OR its equivalent with at least 45% marks from a recognized board/ university. 2. Diploma/ Certificate in Nursery Teacher Education Programme of a duration of not less than two years OR B. Ed (Nursery) from a recognized institute. 3. Must have passed Hindi at secondary level.
Age Limits: within 30yrs.

4. TGTs (English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Punjabi, Urdu, Maths, Natural Science, Social Science): 381 Nos. (UR—193; SC—56; ST—31; OBC—101 including OH—6; VH—5)
Qualification: (I) "A Bachelor's Degree (Honours/Pass) or equivalent from a recognized University having secured 45% marks in aggregate, in two school subjects of which at least one out of the following should have been at the elective level :- 1. English 2. Mathematics 3. Natural/Physical Science 4. Social Science
Note:- Main subjects for TGT (Natural Science/Phy.Science) shall be Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany and Zoology.
Social Science:- History/PoliticalScience/Economics/BusinessStudies/Sociology/Geography/ Psychology. Provided further that the requirement as to minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate at graduation level shall be relaxable in case of :- (a) candidates who passes a Post Graduate Qualification in any of the teaching subjects listed above, (b) belonging to SC/ST (c) Physically handicapped candidates
(II) Degree/Diploma in Training Education or SAV certificate. (III) Working knowledge of Hindi. (IV) Central Teacher Eligibility Test Conducted by CBSE.
For Hindi, Sanskrit, Punjabi and Urdu: (i)- B.A.(Honours) in one of the Modern Indian Languages (MIL) concerned or BA with MIL concerned as one of the Elective subjects from a recognized University having 45 % marks in aggregate with one additional language or one shcool subject at Degree Level.  OR
Equivalent Oriental Degree in MIL concerned from a recognized University having 45% marks in aggregate.
Age Limits: Below 32yrs.

DEPARTMENT: HEALTH & FAMILY WELFARE, GNCT OF DELHI —
5. Staff Nurse: 1362 Nos. (UR-688, OBC-368, SC-204, ST-102 including OH (OL)-41, EXSM-136)
Qualification: i) Matriculation or its equivalent. 2) ‘A’ Grade certificate in Nursing from a recognized institution. ii) Certificate in Midwifery. iv) Should be able to speak Hindustani fluently.
Age Limits: below 32yrs.

DEPARTMENT: MCDs
6. Nurse ‘A’ Grade: 225 Nos. (UR-116, OBC-60, SC- 33, ST-16 including PH-(OL-07).
Qualification: a) Matric pass from a recognized university/board or equivalent b) ‘A’
Grade Nurse & Midwife from a recognized institute c) Registered with Nursing Council as ‘A’ grade Nurse & Midwife.
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 27yrs.

DEPARTMENT: NEW DELHI MUNICIPAL COUNCIL
7. Nurse Grade ‘A’: 26 Nos. (OBC-17, SC-05, ST-04)
Qualification: i) Matric from recognized institution or equivalent ii) Diploma in General Nursing from recognized institution iii) Candidate must be registered with recognized Nurses Registration council.
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 32yrs.

8. Junior Social Education Teacher: 10 Nos. (UR-06, OBC-01, SC- 02, ST-01) including PH (OH-04 & HH-05)
Qualification: i) Matriculation or its equivalent from any University / Board. ii) One year Diploma course from ITI or any recognized institute in various Trade i.e. C/ Tailoring Machine Embroidery and Hand Embroidery, Fruit Preservation, Art & Craft, Dress Designing, Beautification etc. for (Female candidates). iii) Preference may be given to one year certificate course from Social Education Department of NDMC. Training in Craft, Book Binding, Wood Work, Basket Making, Gardening, Chalk Making (For Male candidates).
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 40yrs.

Upper age relaxation : Age relaxation for OBC—3yrs; SC/ST—5yrs; PWD—10yrs; Sportsperson – 5yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others—as per Govt. norms.

How to Apply: Candidates may apply in prescribed OMR Form. OMR form is to be collected from the following offices against payment of Rs.110/- (Application fee—Rs.100 + Form cost—Rs.10) in cash from dated 20th Feb 2013 (SC/ST/PH/Ex-Serviceman may collect the OMR form on payment of Rs.10 Only) —

Application made on OMR form will be only stand valid. Candidates must not enclose any documents with theApplication Form.

Mode of fee payment: 
(i) The examination fee is Rs.100/- and the cost of OMR application form is Rs. 10/-. Candidates have to pay Rs. 110/- in cash at the centres at the time of purchasing OMR application form.
(ii) Applicants belonging to SC/ST/PH/EXSM will be exempted from payment of fees. However they have to pay cost of OMR application form of Rs. 10/- at the time of obtaining this form. The candidates seeking benefit of fee concession shall produce the duly attested copies of relevant certificates in support of their claim at the time of verification of documents.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination which will be of Objective Types Multiple Choice Questions of 2 hours duration on the following subjects – (i) General Awareness, (ii) General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability, (iii) Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, (iv) Test of Hindi Language & Comprehension, (v) Test of English Language and Comprehension AND (vi) Objective type multiple choice questions on the subject concerned as per the Qualification Prescribed for the post.
