Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct an All India Examination for recruitment of 2240 Nos. Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Force AND Assistant Sub-Inspector in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) AND Intelligence Officer in Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Eligible candidates may apply of prescribed application format. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below in brief —

VACANCIES OF SUB-INSPECTOR IN CAPFs (CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCE, i.e. BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB)
CRPF: 234 Nos. (Male—212; Female—22)
ITBP: 136 Nos. (Male only)
CISF: 314 Nos. (Male—283; Female—31)
SSB: 68 Nos. (Male—65; Female—3)

VACANCIES OF ASSISTANT SUB-INSPECTOR IN CISF (CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL SECURITY FORCE)
Number of Vacancies: 734 Nos. (Male—661; Female—73). Out of total vacancies, ex-ser viceman—80Nos.

VACANCIES OF SUB-INSPECTOR IN DELHI POLICE
Number of Vacancies: 330 Nos. (Open for all categories—264; Departmental — 33; Ex- serviceman—33)

VACANCIES OF INTELLIGENCE OFFICERS IN NARCOTICS CONTROL BUREAU (NCB)
Number of Vacancies: The vacancies available will be intimated in due course.

N.B: Reservation in the above mentioned posts are as per norms (refer the below link). Candidates belonging to the Physically Handicapped category are not eligible to apply for this examination.

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from recognized University or equivalent.
For the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi police — Male candidate must possess a valid Driving Lice for Light Motor Vehicle.

Age Limits: Between 20yrs to 25yrs as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation for OBC—3yrs; SC/ST—5yrs; Ex- serviceman and Other categories – as per Govt. norms. (Refer the Advt. for details).

Pay Scales— 
For the posts of Sub-Inspector in CAPFs/ Delhi Police — Rs.9300 –34800 and Grade pay: Rs.4200/-
For the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF — Rs.5200 to 20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2800/-
For the post of Intelligence Officer in NCB — Rs.9300 –34800 and Grade pay: Rs.4600/-

Selection steps: candidates will be selected through Written Examination (Part-I and Part-II), Physical Endurance Test/ PST and Medical Test. Candidates will be called for Personality Test/ Interview based on their combined performance in Paper-I and Paper-II.

Physical Standards of the Candidates (For all posts) —
For Male candidates: Height— 170cms (162.5 for ST); chest (unexpanded/ expanded): 80/85 cms (77/82cms for ST)
For Female Candidates: Height—157cms. Chest— N/A.
cut –off in Height and Chest for Hill area candidates is as per norms.

Physical Efficiency Test (For all posts)—
For male candidates only
a) 100 meters race in 16 seconds
b) 1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes
c) Long Jump : 3.65 metres in 3 chances
d) High Jump : 1.2 metres in 3 chances
e) Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metres in 3 chances

For female candidates only 
a) 100 metres race in 18 seconds
b) 800 metres race in 4 minutes
c) Long Jump: 2.7 metres (9 feet) in 3 chances.
d) High Jump : 0.9 metres (3 feet) in 3 chances.

Eye Sight:—
The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction
The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high color vision.


Procedure of Application fee. 
Since Application can be submitted either Online or Offline so application fee can be made in two different ways on basis of Online or Offline application.
Fee Amount: Rs.100/- only.
Application fee in case of Offline Application: The candidates should pay the fee by means of "Central Recruitment Fee Stamps(CRFS)"only .CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country.
Candidates must got cancelled the fee stamp from the post office after affixing it on the application form.
Application fee in case of Online application: Candidates opting to submit Online application form can pay their application fee through Net Banking or by means Fee payment Challan through any brach of SBI.

Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fee 

How to Apply: Candidates may apply Online or Offline.
For Online application, candidates must submit their application through Official website of SSC —www.ssconline.nic.in AND for Offline application form, candidates must print – out the Application format from the above mentioned site.
In case of Online application, candidates must first complete Part-I registration and then Part-II registration.
After successful submission of Online application (i.e. Part-I and Part-II) candidates may print –out their Registration Slip for future use. There is no need to send any documents by post.

For Offline application form, candidates must print –out the prescribed application format.
The duly filled application form must reach the respective address of Commission’s (State wise Address).
