CONSTABLE (under Sports quota)
Number of Vacancies: 10 Nos.

Educational Qualification: Madhyamik Pass or equivalent from recognized board.

Sports Eligibility: Candidates must have represented in a State or National or International level competition, Inter- University Tournaments (Conducted by The Inter-University Sports Board) and National Sports/Games for Schools (Conducted by the All India School Games Federation) in the following sports and games —
1. Athletics including Track and Field events.
2. Badminton
3. Basket Ball
4. Cricket.
5. Football.
6. Hockey
7. Swimming.
8. Table Tennis
9. Volley Ball
10. Tennis
11. Weight lifting
12. Wrestling
13. Boxing.
14. Cycling
15. Gymnastics
16. Judo
17. Rifle Shooting.
18. Kabaddi.
19. Kho-kho

Age Limits: between 18yrs to 27yrs as on 01.01.2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST- 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs & any other Categories - As per Govt. norms.

Physical Standards of the Candidates: —
(1) Minimum Height – 167 cms. (160 cms for Gorkhas, Garwalis, Rajbansis and ST)
(2) Minimum Chest – 78 cms. with minimum expansion of 5 cms. by inhalation. (76cms with minimum expansion of 5cms for Gorkhas, Garwalis, Rajbansis and ST)
(3) Minimum Weight – 55 Kg.

Candidates must be physically fit and posses sound health.

Pay Scale: Rs.5400—Rs.25200 and Grade pay: Rs.2600 plus other allowances.

Selection of the candidates will be through—Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test, Interview and finally Medical Examination.

Physical Efficiency Test will be of — 1600 mts. Run to be completed within 06 minutes and 30 seconds

The Written Test will have objective type questions on Current Affairs, General knowledge, Basic English, Elementary Mathematics and Analytical Aptitude in multiple choice answer system. Full marks of the Written Test will be 90 and allotted time will be 90 minutes, having provision of negative marks against the wrong answers. The answer sheet may be evaluated in Optical Mark Recognition (OMR System).

Before applying Online for the post, candidates must pay Examination Fee of Rs.150/- in form of Postal Order drawn in favour of – Kolkata Police Recruitment Board and payable at – Kolkata.
Scheduled Tribe & Scheduled caste candidates are exempted from Examination Fee

After submission of Online application form, candidates must print-out the system generated submittedapplication form and retain safely for future use.
There is no need to send any documents or hard copy of application to anywhere.

N.B: The print-out application and testimonials  will have to produce when called for PMT & PET. The following documents shall have to be attached with the printed copy of the filled up Application Form, if called for PET & PMT:-
(a) Original Postal Order/Demand Draft (Except for Scheduled Tribe & Scheduled Caste candidates)
(b) One Copy of recent passport size (3.5cm x 3.5cm), self attested photograph to be pasted on the print copy of the filled up and saved Application Form on the right top box.
(c) Attested copy the certificates of educational qualification. 
(d) Attested copy of the Admit Card of Madhyamik/Equivalent Examination as proof of age.
(e) Attested copy of the Certificate of proficiency in sports & games (as per format, refer the Advt.). 
(f) Attested copy of SC/ST/OBC Certificate issued by appropriate authority (for reserve categories only).

Last Date of Online Application: Online application can be filled and saved till 10th May 2013.
