Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), West Bengal Circle, Kolkata, is recruiting 113 Nos.Telecom Technical Assistant (TTAs) through an open Competitive Examination which is likely to be held on 30-6-2013. Eligible and interested candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below —

N.B: 3% of vacancies from the total vacancies of each SSA is reserved for PWD categories.

Educational Qualification: 3 years Engineering Diploma in any one of the discipline — Telecommunication, Electronics, Electrical, Radio, Computer, Instrument Technology and Information Technology
OR
M.Sc in Electronics from a recognized Institutions/ University.
Candidates possessing higher qualification in the above mentioned stream are also eligible to apply.

Age Limits: Between 18yrs to 27yrs as on Last Date of Application, i.e. 15/05/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST- 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman & any other Categories - As per Govt. norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.13600—25420 plus other allowances.

Selection of the candidates will be done through Open Competitive Examination which is likely to be held on dated- 30.06.2013, followed by a medical test, pre-appointment formalities etc.

Written Examination will be of multiple choice objective type of three hours duration in the following papers—General Ability Test (20 marks), Basic Engineering (90 marks) and Specialization (90 marks). (Refer the Advt. link given below for details)
Admit card will be issued to the eligible candidates only in due course.

The selected candidates will be at the same SSA but under special circumstances they will be posted anywhere in Telecom Circle and anywhere in India.
Selected candidates will be on probation for period of 2yrs. Candidates must undergo the prescribed training of 10 weeks. During the training period they will get stipend of Rs. 4970+ IDA per month as per rule. Appointmentorders will be issued after successful completion of Training and Medical fitness.

The Application form must be enclosed with the following enclosures —

• Three identical passport size photographs out of which two with full signature of the applicant should be pasted (not stapled or pinned) on the application form, and the other attached to the application (not to be pasted or attested).
• Two self addressed un-stamped envelope of 27 X 12 cms size. 
• Bank Draft/Indian Postal Order for Rs. 500/- (payable at Kolkata) (Not required for SC/ST/PH candidates).
• Medical Certificate in respect of Physically Challenged candidates in the prescribed proforma (Annexure – 1) issued by Medical Board/ Government Hospital.  If Ex-serviceman, attested Discharge Certificate.
•  Attested copy of SC/ST/OBC Certificate.
•  Attested copy of Age proof Certificate like Matriculation Pass Certificate or equivalent.
• Attested copy of degree/diploma certificate.

Candidates may submit only one Application form for any one of the above mentioned SSA. 

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Examination fee of Rs.500/- in form of demand draft/Pay Order drawn in favour of Accounts Officer (Cash), O/O CGMT, W. B. Circle, Kolkata-700 001 payable at Kolkata.
NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED FOR SC/ST/PH CANDIDATES.

Last Date of Application: The Application form must reach on or before 15th May 2013.
