Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) is inviting application form from the eligible candidates for 844 Technical posts – Sr. Technical Assistant ‘B’, Technician ‘A’ and Assistant/ Store Asst., Civilian Driver/ Fireman/ Etc, through Written Examination which will be hold tentatively on 25-08-2013 (Sunday). 1. SENIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANT ‘B’ (STA- ‘B’)

3. ADMIN & ALLIED POSTS (Is as follows) —
(1). Assistant (Hindi): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Master degree in English / Hindi with Hindi and English as compulsory elective subjects at degree level OR Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects (which includes the term compulsory and elective) and two years Experience of translation from English to Hindi and vice versa.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade pay: Rs.4200
Age: 18yrs to 30yrs

(2) Personal Assistant ‘A’: 5 Nos. Out of them 1nos. reserved for PH (HI)
Qualification: Class 12 pass or equivalent AND Typing on computer at the speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi ( 30 words per minute corresponds to 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.) or Typing on computer at the speed of 35 word per minute in English (35 words per minute  corresponds to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.) (Typing test will be on computer only )
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900/-
Age: 18yrs to 27yrs.

(3) Admin Assistant ‘A’: 121 Nos. Out of total 5nos. reserved for PWD candidates and 6nos for Ex-serviceman.
Qualification: Class 12 or equivalent AND Typing on computer at the speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi ( 30 words per minute corresponds to 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.) or Typing on computer at the speed of 35 word per minute in English (35 words per minute corresponds to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.) (Typing test will be on computer only )
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900
Age: 18yrs to 27yrs.

(4) Store Assistant ‘A’: 19 Nos. Out of them 1 Nos. for PH (OH) and 1nos. for Ex-serviceman.
Qualification: Same as above post.
Pay Scale and Age: Same as above post.

(5) Security Assistant ‘A’: 18 Nos. Out of them 2nos. for Ex-serviceman.
Qualification: Class XII or equivalent and must have sound health and physique to undertake strenuous duties. (Refer the Advt. link given below for details).
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900
Age: 18yrs to 27yrs.

(6) Civilian Driver ‘A’: 52 Nos. Out of them 2nos for Ex-serviceman
Qualification: Class X pass or equivalent and must posses valid driving licence for 2 wheeler/ and light/ heavy vehicles (both) and one year driving experience.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900/-
Age: 18yrs to 27yrs.

(7) Fire Engine Driver ‘A’: 9 Nos.
Qualification: Class X or equivalent and a valid driving license for Two/Three wheelers and light and heavy vehicles (both). Candidates must be physically fit and must have capability for strenuous duties. (Refer the Advt. link given below for details)
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900/-
Age: 18yrs to 27yrs.

(8) Fireman: 36 Nos. Out of them 3nos. of Ex-serviceman.
Qualification: Class X pass and Physically fit to perform strenuous duties. (Refer the Advt. link given below for details)
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.1900/-
Age: 18yrs to 27yrs.


Upper age relaxation (for all posts): The age mentioned above along with the posts will be counted as on closing date of application i.e., 27.05.2013. Upper age relaxation is as per norms and rules. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST- 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman & any other Categories - As per Govt. norms.

For selection of candidates, Written Examination will be there. The examination will be held on 25th August, 2013 (Sunday). Admit Cards to the candidates who have applied online will NOT be sent by post but shall be made available on official website of DRDO — www.drdo.gov.in,  at least 15 days before the date of examination. How to Apply: Eligible candidates must first register themselves with CEPTAM by sending a mobile SMS on the Mobile No.56677 of CEPTAM.
The format of SMS should be as follows—CEPTAM <space> First choice of Exam City Code <space> Post Code <space> Date of Birth as ddmmyy <space> Name (Leaving a space between first, middle and last name)

Upon sending the SMS, candidate will receive an auto-generated response message with “Registration No” based on exam city code, post code and sequence no (based on post code). Mention this Registration No. in your application form making Online/ Offline application.
If candidate wish to apply for more than one post, then should get registration number for each post code separately.
Candidates applying for the post—STA ‘B’ must apply Online only. After successful submission of online application form, candidates should sent the system generated Registration Slip to Director, CEPTAM alongwith required enclosures.
Candidates apply for the post – Tech ‘A’ and Admin & Allied posts, may either apply Online or Offline. For Offline application, candidates must print-out the prescribed application format on plain paper (link to download the Application form is given below)

Candidates must enclose their Application form/ System generated Registration slip with Self-Attested copies of Educational Certificates, Age proof documents, Caste certificate, Driving licence (as applicable) and Etc.
The candidate must attach self addressed stamped post card at the end of all enclosures to acknowledge the receipt of application. The post card should have the name of the candidate, post code, subject and post name applied for.

Application fee: Rs.50/- is to be paid Online through Credit/ Debit card/ Net banking while making online application OR can be paid offline through Indian Postal Order issued in favour of “The Director, CEPTAM, Delhi”, payable at Delhi.

CANDIDATES BELONGING TO SC/ST/ESM/PWD CATEGORIES AND WOMEN CANDIDATES ARE EXEMPTED FROM PAYMENT OF FEE.
