Mazagon Dock Limited is recruiting 508 candidates for the posts of Security Sepoy and Operatives in various trades in Skilled & Semi-skilled grades. The engagement to the posts will be on contractual basis for a maximum period of 02 years. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Advertisement Ref. MAZAGON DOCK LIMITED REQUIRES 508 SECURITY SEPOY AND OPERATIVES IN VARIOUS TRADES. APPLY WITHIN 02/08/2013.

SKILLED GRADE – I (IDA – 5)
Trade wise vacancies are as follows —

• Fitter: 34 Nos. 
• Structural Fabricator: 170 Nos. 
• Pipe Fitter: 25 Nos. 
• Electrician: 41 Nos. 
• Electric Crane Operator: 4 Nos. 
• Electronic Mechanic: 23 Nos. 
• Painter: 14 Nos. 
• Carpenter: 2 Nos. 
• Comp. Welder: 68 Nos. 
• Rigger: 41 Nos. 
• Compressor Attendant: 3 Nos. 
• Millwright Mechanic: 14 Nos. 
• Brass Finisher: 12 Nos. 
• Machinist: 2 Nos. 

SEMI SKILLED GRADE – III (IDA – 4A)

• Security Sepoy (Ex-Serviceman): 9 Nos. 

SEMI SKILLED GRADE – III (IDA – 2)

• Utility Hand: 38 Nos. 
• Chipper Grinder: 8 Nos. 

Educational Qualification: 
For all posts except the below mentioned: Passed SSC or equivalent and National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination pass in the relevant Trade.
* For Painter, Carpenter, Composite Welder and Rigger — Passed class VIII and NAC in the respective trade.
* For Compressor Attendant — Passed SSC plus NAC in the trade of Millwright Mechanic or Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance may apply.
* For Brass Finisher — NAC in the trade of Machinist may apply.
For Security Sepoy (Ex-Serviceman) — SSC or equivalent and has put in at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union and is otherwise considered fit to hold the post in view of his experience and other qualifications. Candidates conversant with Security Duties and holding valid commercial driving licence will be preferred.
* For Utility Hand — Passed SSC plus NAC in the trade of Motor Vehicle Body Builder / Tool & Die Maker(Allied trade)/ Motor Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic and Instrument Mechanic may apply.
* For Chipper Grinder — Passed SSC plus NAC in the trade of Machinist Machinist(Grinder) / Turner may apply for the post.

N.B: * The candidates who have worked as Fitter, Structural fabricator, Pipe Fitter, Brass Finisher, Rigger, Chipper Grinder, Compressor Attendant & Electric Crane Operator in MDL/Shipbuilding industry for minimum one year having passed NAC in different trades may apply directly to such trade. However, experience certificate should be certified by their Personnel Dept.

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18yrs to 33yrs as on 01-07-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST - 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others - As per norms.

The engagement to the above posts will be on contractual basis, initially for two years, on basic pay as follows —
Skilled Gr-I (IDA-5): Rs.7500/- per month in first year and Rs.7575 in the second year plus other allowances as per norms.
Semi Skilled Gr-III (IDA-4A): Rs.7250 per month in first year and Rs.7323 in the second year plus other allowances as per norms.
Semi Skilled Gr-I (IDA-2): Rs.6000/- per month in first year and Rs.6060 in second year plus other allowances as per norms.

Candidates willing to apply for more than one post must submit separate application for each trade.
Candidates must attach self attested copies of certificates in support of their age, qualification, experience, caste certificate, defence discharge certificate in case of E-SM and etc along with the application.

Application Fee: Interested candidates must pay Application Fee of Rs.100/- in form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Mazagon Dock Limited”, payable in Mumbai.
The D.D. must be enclosed with the Application form. No fee will be charged from SC, ST , PWD & Ex-servicemen candidates.
