COCHIN SHIPYARD LIMITED INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR 213 SUPERVISORY AND WORKMEN POSTS. APPLY ONLINE WITHIN 11TH MARCH 2013.

A. SUPERVISORY POSTS
1. Accountant: 4 Nos. (Gen—2; SC—1; OBC—1)
Qualification: B. Com and M.Com with 60% of marks and 7 years of experience in Finance/ Accounting.

2. Assistant Engineer (Painting): 3 Nos. (Gen—2; OBC—1)
Qualification: Degree in Chemistry or Three year Diploma in any branch of Engineering with minimum 60% marks and possessing NACE or FROSIO level-I Inspector qualification AND Seven years experience in painting preferably in a Shipyard/Naval Dockyard or Heavy Engineering Company.

B. WORKMEN POSTS
1. Technical Assistant (Mechanical): 3 Nos. (SC—1; ST—2)
Qualification: 3yrs diploma in Mechanical engineering with 60% of marks and 7yrs of experience in Planning and production control activities and must have computer experience.

2. Technical Assistant (Electrical): 1 Nos. (SC)
Qualification: 3yrs Diploma in Electrical engineering with 60% marks and 7yrs of experience in planning and production control activities and must have computer experience.

3. Junior Technical Assistant: 20 Nos. (SC—2; ST—1; OBC—5; Gen—12)
— Mechanical: 12 Nos.
— Electrical: 4 Nos.
— Civil: 2 Nos.
— Electronics: 1 Nos.
— Instrumentation: 1 Nos.
Qualification: 3 year Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/ Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering with 60% marks and 4yrs of experience

4. Junior Commercial Assistant: 15 Nos. (Gen—8; SC—2; ST—1; OBC—4)
Qualification: 3yrs of Diploma in Commercial Practice/Computer Science/Information Technology securing minimum of 60% marks and 4yrs of experience.

5. Junior Finance Assistant: 2 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: M.Com securing first class and 4yrs of experience.

6. Storekeeper: 6 Nos.(OBC—1; Gen—5)
Qualification: Graduate with Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) and 4yrs f experience.

7. Welder Cum Fitter: 84 Nos. (Gen—52; SC—9; ST—2; OBC—21)
Trade wise —
— Fitter Structural: 20 Nos.
— Fitter Pipe: 12 Nos.
— Fitter Engineering: 23 Nos.
— Fitter Maintenance: 12 Nos.
Qualification: Pass in SSLC, ITI (National Trade Certificate) and All India National Trade Test (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in any one of the following trades or equivalent qualifications AND 5yrs of experience in respective areas in a Shipbuilding/ Ship repair yard or Heavy Engineering Company.

8. Painter: 7 Nos. (Gen—5; SC—1; OBC—1)
Qualification: Pass in SSLC, ITI (National Trade Certificate) with All India National Trade Test (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in the trade of Painter (Marine/General)/Fitter/Sheet Metal Worker AND 5yrs experience in the field.

9. Fitter (Electrical): 15 Nos. (Gen—8; SC—2; ST—1; OBC—4)
Qualification: Pass in SSLC, ITI (National Trade Certificate) and All India National Trade Test (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in the trade of Electrician AND 5yrs of experience as Mechanic or Electrician.

10. Crane Operator (Electrical): 8 Nos. (Gen—5; SC—1; OBC—2)
Qualification: Pass in SSLC, ITI (National Trade Certificate) and All India National Trade Test (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in the trade of Electrician/Electronics AND 5yrs of experience.

11. Fitter (Electronics): 3 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Pass in SSLC, ITI (National Trade Certificate) and All India National Trade Test (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in the trade of Electronic Mechanic AND 5yrs of experience.

12. Instrument Mechanic: 2 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Pass in SSLC, ITI (National Trade Certificate) and All India National Trade Test (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in the trade of Instrument Mechanic AND 5yrs experience.

13. Shipwright Wood: 7 Nos. (Gen—5; OBC—2)
Qualification: Pass in SSLC, ITI (National Trade Certificate) and All India National Trade Test (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in the trade of Shipwright Wood (Carpenter) AND 5yrs of experience.

14. Machinist: 8 Nos. (Gen—5; SC—1; OBC—2)
Qualification: Pass in SSLC, ITI (National Trade Certificate) and All India National Trade Test (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in the trade of Machinist AND 5yrs of experience as a Machinist in operating Machine Tools like Lathes, Milling Machine, Turning Machine etc

15. Crane Operator (Diesel): 3 Nos. (Gen- Ex Serviceman)
Qualification: Ex-Servicemen who have passed SSLC, ITI (National Trade Certificate) certificate in the trade of Fitter or Mechanic (Diesel) or equivalent qualifications AND 5yrs of experience in operating and maintenance of Mobile Cranes.

16. Staff Car Driver: 2 Nos. (Gen—Ex Serviceman)
Qualification: Ex-Servicemen who have passed SSLC and possessing valid Driving License for driving Light Vehicles and 3yrs of experience as Staff Car Driver.

17. Semi Skilled Rigger: 12 Nos. (Gen—7; SC—1; ST—1; OBC—3)
Qualification: Pass class IV AND 5 years experience in Rigging of heavy duty machine parts, assisting in the erection of machinery/ equipment etc, in a Shipbuilding/ Ship repair yard or Heavy Engineering Company.

18. Fireman: 4 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Pass in SSLC and Training in Fire Fighting AND 1yr of experience.

19. General Worker (Canteen): 4 Nos. (Gen—3; OBC—1)
Qualification: Pass Class VII and 5yrs of experience in a Statutory Industrial Canteen. Knowledge in Malayalam is desirable.

Age Limits: Maximum 35yrs as on 31/01/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs; OBC—3yrs; PWD—10yrs and ex-serviceman: as per norms.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Interview for posts mentioned in A. 1 – 2 and B.1 to B.6
For posts in Sl.no. B.7 to 19, the selection will be through Practical test
