Delhi Police 254 Head Constable Recruitment 2013 online

Delhi Police is recruiting 254 candidates for the post of – Head Constable (Assistant Wireless Operator/ Tele-Printer Operator) and Head Constable (Ministerial). Interested and eligible candidates may apply for the post through Online system from the official website of Delhi Police or can apply Offline. DELHI POLICE REQUIRES 254 HEAD CONSTABLE (ASSISTANT WIRELESS OPERATOR/ TELE-PRINTER OPERATOR) AND HEAD CONSTABLE (MINISTERIAL). LAST DATE EXTENDED TO - 15/03/2013

1. Head Constable (AWO/ TPO): 158 Nos.
— Open to all candidates: 142 Nos. (Gen—71; OBC—50; SC—17; ST—4)
— Departmental Candidates only: 16 Nos. (Gen—8; OBC—6; SC—2)

Qualification Required: Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science & Mathematics as subjects OR NTC in the trade of Mechanic-cum-Operator Electronic Communication System.
Ability to type 30 words per minute  in English on computer and knowledge of computer application.

Age Limits: between 18 yrs to 27yrs as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation for OBC—3yrs; SC/ST—5yrs. Ex-Serviceman and Others—as per norms.

Physical Standards: —
Male Candidates: Height—170cms (165cms for Hill areas candidates); Chest (Unexpanded/ Expanded) – 81/85cms (relaxable by 5cms for hill area candidates)
Female Candidates: Height—157 cms (relaxable by 5cms for hill areas candidates)


2. Head Constable (Ministerial): 96 Nos. (Gen—48; OBC—14; SC—32; ST—2)
Qualification: 12th pass or equivalent. Ability to type 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute  in Hindi on Computer

Age Limits: between 18yrs to 25yrs as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation for OBC—3yrs; SC/ST—5yrs. Ex-Serviceman and Others—as per Govt. norms.

Physical Standard : —
Male Candidates: Height—165cms; Chest (Unexpanded/ Expanded) : 78/ 82
Female Candidates: Height – 157 cms.
Relaxable by 5 cms in Height and Chest for candidates from Hill areas.

Pay scale (For all posts): Rs.5200—20200 with Grade pay: Rs.2400 plus other allowances.

Application fee: The application fee is Rs.100/- in form of Demand Draft / Bank Draft/ Banker’s cheque drawn in favour of – DCP/ Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi.
SC/ST and Ex-Serviceman candidates is exempted from Application fee.
