Mazagon Dock Limited is recruiting 649 candidates for the post of – Technical Staff, Security Sepoy, Fire Fighters and Operatives in various trades in Skilled and Semi-Skilled grades, for engagement on contractual basis for a period of two years. MAZAGON DOCK LIMITED REQUIRES 649 TECHNICAL STAFF, SECURITY SEPOY, FIRE FIGHTERS AND OPERATIVES IN VARIOUS TRADES ON CONTRACTUAL BASIS. LAST DATE: 24/04/2013.

1. Special Grade Engine Driver: 2 Nos.
Qualification: Certificate of competency (Licence to act as Engineer) and Knowledge of Swimming is compulsory. Minimum 3 yrs experience of operating tugs from 565 BHP and above.

2. Sarang: 2 Nos.
Qualification: Certificate of competency (Sarang) and Knowledge of Swimming is compulsory. Minimum 5 yrs experience of operating passenger launch from 40 to 226 BHP

3. Jr. Draughtsman: 4 Nos.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent examination and National Apprentice Certificate in the trade of Draughtsman in Mechanical Stream.

4. Store Keeper: 12 Nos.
Qualification: Full time three years Diploma Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, & Electronics and Computer knowledge preferably in SAP.

5. Pharmacist: 1nos.
Qualification: SSC / HSC with full time D. Pharm / B. Pharrm

6. Fitter: 54 Nos.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent and National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of “Fitter”.

7. Structural Fabricator: 193 Nos.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent and National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of “Structural Fitter / Fabricator”. Candidate having National Apprenticeship Certificate in “Sheet Metal Worker” trade will be considered for Trainee Structural Fabricator.

8. Pipe Fitter: 78 Nos.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent and NAC in the trade of “Pipe Fitter” OR SSC with NAC in the trade of Plumber with one year experience in MDL/ Ship building industry as plumber.

9. Electronic Mechanic: 31 Nos.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent and NAC in the trade of Electronic Mechanic.

10. Painter: 45 Nos.
Qualification: Class VIII pass and NAC in the trade of Painter.

11. Carpenter: 14 Nos.
Qualification: Class VIII pass and NAC in the trade of Carpenter.

12. Comp. Welder: 27 Nos.
Qualification: Class VIII pass and NAC in the trade of Welder/ Welder (G&E)

13. Rigger: 83 Nos.
Qualification: Class VIII pass and NAC in the trade of Rigger.

14. Compressor Attendant: 5 Nos.
Qualification: Class VIII pass and NAC in the trade of Millwright Mechanic / Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance.

15. Millwright mechanic: 1 Nos.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent with NAC in the trade of Millwright Mechanic / Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance.

16. Security Sepoy (Ex-Serviceman): 23 Nos.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent Or passed Indian Army class – I examination or equivalent examination in the Navy or Air Force and has put in at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union

17. Lascar: 13 Nos.
Qualification: Should posses GP rating seaman certificate from the DG Shipping approved Institute. Knowledge of Swimming is compulsory.

18. Fire Fighter: 4 Nos.
Qualification: SSC or equivalent with Diploma / Certificate in Fire Fighting of minimum six months duration and must possess a valid Heavy Duty Vehicle Licence.

19. Utility Hand: 16 Nos.
Qualification: SSC with NAC in any trade and have worked in Shipbuilding industry as Utility Hand for minimum period of one year may apply for the post.
Candidates having passed SSC and NAC examination conducted by NCVT in the trade of Motor Vehicle Body Builder / Tool & Die Maker(Allied trade)/ Motor Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic and Instrument Mechanic may be taken for the post in case of non-availability of candidates.

20. Chipper Grinder: 31 Nos.
Qualification: SSC and NAC in any trade and have worked in Shipbuilding industry as Chipper Grinder for minimum period of one year may apply for the post directly.
In case of non-availability of candidates as Chipper Grinder, the candidates having passed SSC with NAC examination conducted by NCVT in the trade of Machinist / Machinist(Grinder) /Turner may apply for the post of Trainee Chipper Grinder.

Age Limits: Between 18yrs to 33yrs (45yrs for Spl.Grade Engine driver and Sarang) as on 01-04-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST- 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman & any other Categories - As per Govt. norms.

The engagement to the post is on contractual basis for period of two years.
