Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to conduct a Combined Competitive Examination (Engineering Services Examination—2013) for recruitment in the posts under the following categories — Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. Expected number of vacancies — 763 Nos. Examination Notice No.07/2013-ENGG. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below —

No. of Vacancies: 763 Nos. (Approximately including 19 PH vacancies)
Reservation of the vacancies is as per Govt. norms.
The vacancies are in the different Departments and Divisions of Govt. of India (Refer the below link) in the following posts —
Category I — Civil Engineering
Category II — Mechanical Engineering
Category III — Electrical Engineering
Category IV — Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
Educational Qualification (Minimum):
Degree in Engineering (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics & Telecommunication ). For alternatives and more details refer the Advt. (link given below)
Age Limits: Candidates must be between 21yrs to 30yrs as on 01.01.2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST- 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman & any other Categories - As per Govt. norms.
How to Apply: Candidates are required o apply Online from the official website of UPSC —www.upsconline.nic.in (live url given below)
Selection of the candidates will be through Combined Competitive Examination (Engineering Service Examination, 2013).
Eligible candidates will be issued e-Admission Certificate/ e-Admit Card, to appear in the examination, which can be downloaded from the website of UPSC in due course (i.e. 3 weeks before the commencement of the examination)
Application fee: Candidates willing to apply for the post must pay Application fee of Rs.200/- through any branch of SBI or using Net banking facility during online application.
SC/ST/ PWD/ and all Female candidates are exempted from payment of Application fee.
After final submission of Online application form, candidates must print-out the system generated Registration Slip and retain safely for future use. Do not send it to anywhere.
There is no need to submit any documents or hard copy of application by post to anywhere.
Last Date of Online Application: Online Application form can be filled upto 6th May, 2013 (till Midnight).
