Indo – Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP)is inviting application form from the eligible Male candidates for filling up 556 vacancies in the posts of Constable (Tradesmen) in the following trades – Tailor, Gardener, Cobbler, Water Carrier, Safai Karmachari, Cook, Washerman and Barber. Interested candidates may apply on prescribed application format. 1. Constable (Tailor): 43 Nos. (Gen—22; SC—6; ST—3; OBC—12)
2. Constable (Gardener): 22 Nos. (Gen—11; SC—3; ST—2; OBC—6)
3. Constable (Cobbler): 33 Nos. (Gen—17; SC—5; ST—2; OBC—9)
4. Constable (Water Carrier): 115 Nos. (Gen—58; SC—17; ST—9; OBC—31)
5. Constable (Safai Karmachari): 116 Nos. (Gen—59; SC—17; ST—9; OBC—31)
6. Constable (Cook): 117 Nos. (Gen—59; SC—17; ST—9; OBC—32)
7. Constable (Washerman): 56 Nos. (Gen—29; SC—8; ST—4; OBC—45)
8. Constable (Barber): 54 Nos. (Gen—27; SC—8; ST—4; OBC—15)
Note: 10% of the vacancies in each category are reserved for Ex-servicemen.

Educational Qualification:—

(1). Constable (Tailor/ Gardener/ Cobbler): Matriculation/ Class 10 pass AND 2yrs work experience in respective trade OR One year certificate from ITI/ Vocational Institute with atleast one year experience in the respective trade OR 2 years diploma from ITI in the respective trade.
Physical Standards: Height – 167.5 cms (162.5 for ST); Chest (un expanded/ expanded) – 78/ 83cms (76/ 81 cms for ST)
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 23yrs.

(2). Constable (Water Carrier/ Safai Karmachari/ Cook/ Washerman/ Barber): Matriculation/ Class 10 pass
Physical Standards: Height – 170cms (162.5 for ST); Chest (un expanded/ expanded) – 80/ 85cms (76/  81cms for ST)
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 25yrs.

Distant Vision (for all): The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction
Upper age relaxation: Age will be counted as on 31/05/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST - 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others- As per norms.
For cut-off in physical standards in case of candidates from Hill areas and Candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Laddakh regions of J&K, please refer the advt. link given below.

The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Selection of the candidates will be through Height measurement, Race, Physical Standard Test, Trade Test (of respective trade), Written Test (OMR based), Documents verification and finally Medical Examination. For details, refer the Advt. link given below

How to Apply: Eligible and Interested candidates may apply on prescribed application format which can be print-out in plain paper, along with attested copies of testimonials in support of Educational Certificate, Age proof, Caste, Domicile certificate, Experience/ ITI certificate (as applicable) and Etc.
Candidates must enclose 2 self-addressed envelopes 4”X9” size with Rs. 5/- postage stamps affixed on each envelope.

Application fee: Rs.50/- by means of  “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only.
CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got cancelled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the issuing Post Office in such a manner that the impression or the cancellation stamps partially overflows on the Application Form itself.
SC/ST/ Ex-Serviceman are exempted from paying Application fee.
